Job Description for EurActiv
EurActiv is an independent media portal for EU policies. EurActiv has an original business model, based on 5 elements (corporate sponsoring, EurActor membership, advertising, EU projects, and content syndication). The content usage is free.
The EurActiv web portal is firmly established as the favourite online platform for EU affairs specialists. It brings together journalistic independence with transparency and practical efficiency, complementing the existing EU media and institutional websites.
Combining online expertise with a novel approach to EU policy reporting, EurActiv brings together:
? A daily digest of key EU stories
? An in-depth analysis of policy topics
? Update Email newsletters, by policy area
EurActiv enjoys extensive political, NGO and press support. It is at the heart of the 'Community of EU Actors'. This 'Community' includes several thousand European organisations and companies, many of which are currently using EurActiv's services.

Job Description:
Main tasks:
? The new position is at partner level (extended management team)
? Fund raising: A major part of the job will be to identify and win financement with Sponsors (especially established corporate brands in
? Reporting to the General Director and, monthly and when necessary, to the EurActiv.ro Board.
Profile:
? Typical profile and experience:
o several years with a representative company/organization
o sales/ fund-raising experience
o EU/international projects will be an advantage
o partner/director of a sales or consultancy department
? Similar experience in a position of trust
? Hard-working, bright, entrepreneurial, team leader
? Economic academic background probably, similar business orientation
? Good "networker" with already established business network in
? Interest in partnership perspectives offered, with 'independent' compensation + bonus, and becoming a shareholder of EurActiv.ro.
? Familiarity with PC environment and internet culture
? Excellent phone contact, good presentation skills
? Languages: English (excellent).
