CfA: Internships at the European Roma Rights Center, Budapest

Internships at the ERRC: Internships will be offered on a competitive basis for periods of six weeks to six months, to Romani persons who meet certain educational, language and other criteria. The interns will be hosted at the ERRC office in Budapest. The interns will receive professional guidance from the Human Rights Trainer and will also work together with one of the ERRC Departments Research and Policy, International Advocacy, Legal, or Human Rights Education).

Individual projects undertaken by the interns will be supervised by the Human Rights Trainer. Requirements of the programme include a good command of English, both written and spoken, the ability to work in a diverse, challenging environment as well as to undertake independent tasks. Applicants should be 18 or older. Applications are accepted on
a rolling basis.

Traineeship at FEAD

FEAD seeks a trainee
as from end of September / beginning of October 2006
for 4 to maximum 6 months
Based in the heart of Brussels, close to the EU-institutions FEAD offers you the unique opportunity to work with an international organization for the waste management industry.

Assignments:

- Collect, search and disseminate information on policy areas relevant to FEAD members; provide the team with regular updates
- Assist with the co-ordination of and attendance in FEAD Working Groups meetings
- Prepare presentations
- Assist the Communication Manager with updating the FEAD website
- Attend a few sessions in the European Parliament and report

Requirements:

- Excellent language skills at least in 2 of the following languages: English, French, German (preferable English or German mother tongue)
- Dedicated interest in European affairs in general and environmental issues/ waste management in particular
- Good technical understanding and communication skills
- Complete computer literate
- Ability to adapt in a small but highly motivated team
