A Closer Look - grants for cultural journalism

The European Cultural Foundation invites young (under 35-years-old) journalists from Central, Eastern and South-East Europe to apply for travel grants. A Closer Look grant scheme is meant for articles with broader European and cultural relevance that need exploration outside one?s own country.

Individual young journalists should apply in conjunction with the editors-in-chief or section editors of weeklies or weekly supplements. Editors must provide a written statement indicating that they are willing to publish the article (or series of articles) by the young journalist in question.

The maximum size of a travel grant is EUR 2.500. The applications need to be sent in before May 31st.
